Salvadoran Enchiladas

Salvadoran enchiladas are a traditional dish that consists of fried corn tortillas topped with red tomato sauce, which can have a spicy kick. On top of the tortillas, shredded chicken, curtido (a salad of pickled cabbage, carrot and onion) and grated cheese are added. They are served with cream and are sometimes complemented with avocado slices.

Cream chicken

Chicken in cream, typical of Central America, is prepared by cooking pieces of chicken in a cream sauce with vegetables. The chicken pieces are fried and onion, garlic, peppers, tomato and coriander are sautéed, then cream and chicken broth are added. It is served with rice or tortillas.
