Sigma Alimentos Corporativo, S.A. de C.V., located at Av. Gómez Morín #1111 Col. Carrizalejo C.P. 66254 San Pedro, Garza García, N.L., Mexico, is responsible for the processing of personal data collected. In compliance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, this Privacy Notice is issued.

Principles in Data Collection

In collecting personal data, Sigma Alimentos Corporativo, S.A. de C.V. follows all principles set by law (Art. 6): legality, quality, consent, information, purpose, loyalty, proportionality, and responsibility. It is responsible for the processing of all personal data collected by Sigma Alimentos, S.A. de C.V. or any of its subsidiaries, which act as processors.

Personal Data Subject to Processing

For the provision of our services, we may collect personal identification data such as address, phone number, email, photograph or video, Federal Taxpayers Registry (RFC), academic, labor, and third-party information. The information is collected through various means: interviews, paper, phone, electronic means, visits to our websites and/or promotional sites, use of our services, and legally available public sources.

Purposes of Data Processing

Your personal information will be used for the following purposes:

  2. Fulfillment of obligations derived from legal or business operations in which you are a part.

The holder agrees to the transfer of their data to third parties, respecting the purposes outlined in this Notice and in the following cases:

  • For the prevention or medical diagnosis, provision of healthcare, medical treatment, or management of health services.
  • To parent companies, subsidiaries, or affiliates under common control of the responsible party, or to a parent company or any company of the same group operating under the same processes and internal policies.
  • When necessary by virtue of a contract in the interest of the holder.
  • For the safeguard of public interest or for the procurement or administration of justice.
  • For the recognition, exercise, or defense of a right in a judicial process.
  • For the maintenance or fulfillment of a legal relationship.

Social Networks

Social networks (such as Facebook and Twitter, among others) constitute a communication and interconnection platform between the different users. They are unrelated to Sigma and are therefore not under its responsibility. The processing of users’ data will be governed by the conditions set forth in the terms and conditions of the relevant social network. Sigma may require personal data through social networks such as name, address, phone number, RFC, and email for identification purposes.

Use of Cookies

The cookies used on Sigma’s websites do not collect personal information from users. Visitors can configure their browser to accept or reject all cookies by default. If you wish to disable them, please refer to your browser’s help section.

How Do We Protect Personal Data?

In compliance with current regulations, once you provide your Personal Data, we inform you that these will be stored indefinitely in different secure media that technology permits.

Personal Data will be protected administratively, technically, and physically to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of the personal data you have provided.

ARCO Rights, Limitations, and Revocations

Through this means, you can also express your refusal for the processing and transfer of your Personal Data, as well as revoke consent for processing and limit the use or disclosure of the same.

For acceptance, the ARCO request must contain and be accompanied by the following as outlined in Art. 29 of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties: a) The name of the Holder and address or another means to communicate the response to your request. b) Documents proving the identity or legal representation of the Holder. c) A clear and precise description of the personal data for which you seek to exercise any of the aforementioned rights. d) Any other element or document that facilitates the location of personal data.

We will respond to your request, making it known through the contact means you specify, within a maximum period of 20 days from the date the request for access, rectification, cancellation, or opposition is received. If applicable, the request will be made effective within 15 days following the date the response is communicated. The aforementioned periods may be extended once for an equal period if justified by the circumstances of the case.

Responses to ARCO Requests will be delivered to the data holder or their legal representative in simple copies or electronic files, depending on the type and quantity of documents in each case.

Changes to the Privacy Notice

Sigma may make necessary modifications at any time to adapt, update, improve or address new legal provisions to this Privacy Notice.
