Riguas with Mucho Gusto  Crema Hondureña

Honduran riguas are a kind of bread made with fresh corn dough, served with butter, cream or fresh cheese. If you want a special touch, you can add a little sugar and a pinch of salt. Its delicious flavor is due to the banana leaves that are used to wrap and cook this delicacy.

Ingredients:

2 cups of corn kernels
1/2 tablespoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of butter
1/4 cup of milk
Salt to taste
Banana leaves to taste
Mucho Gusto Crema Hondureña to taste

Preparation instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients, except the banana leaves, in the blender. Mix well and add salt according to your preference.
  2. Heat a griddle or griddle. Place the banana leaves on top of it and pour in the mixture. Cook for 2 minutes on each side. Remove and serve with butter or queso fresco.
  3. Add the Mucho Gusto Crema Hondureña over the riguas according to your taste.
